Charm City Animal Rescue is a 501c3 organization based in Baltimore City, MD. We do NOT have a facility, but an ever-growing network of foster homes that enable us to save and adopt out almost 300 cats per year! This is the reason that we do not have a published address or phone number. We also do not get government funding, but rely solely on donations, fundraisers, and grants to support our efforts.
CCAR does not ever take owner surrenders. We rescue animals from shelters and the streets, and we focus on those who are in dire need or special needs: injured, sick, stressed, on the euthanasia list, 3 legged, one eyed, pregnant, and especially those cats with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (wobbly cats.) We also assist, when we can, with trap, neuter, release (TNR) projects, and assisting owners with getting low cost spay and neuter appointments.
We always have many cats and kittens available for adoption. If you’re interested in adopting, please take a moment to read about our process and submit an application. We process all applications within one day. We also have a very large, active Facebook community, where you can keep up to the minute on our events, newest rescues, or ask questions!

Give and Get!
Charm City Animal Rescue has partnered with GiveCorps to raise $3500 for our special needs animals. The best part is that anyone who donates $10 or more will get a voucher to a local business. This week, get $10 off $35 or more at Shuckers of Fells Point!
Regan is a friendly cat was somehow surviving in a feral colony, and then ended up in a shelter and added to the list to be euthanized, despite his wonderful personality. Luckily, we learned about him and got him into a foster care. But in order to find a home, Regan needs surgery for his eyelid agenesis. The hairs on his forehead are currently rubbing the surface of his eyes and if left untreated, will cause scratches, ulcers, and eventually blindness.
Rescuing special needs animals in Baltimore is an endless challenge. CCAR has tackled this fearlessly – but the vet bills are stacking up. Together, we can reconstruct Regan’s eyelids and help other homeless animals.
Your gift will help provide vet care to Regan and so many animals like her, so they can heal and find their forever homes! Click here to donate.
