Charm City Animal Rescue was officially born on October 26, 2009 in Baltimore City. We are a group of volunteer animal lovers with a mission to rescue, provide care to, and re-home cats in crisis. We focus on the most dire need cases, most that have no other means of rescue, and work closely with other rescue groups and animal shelters throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

Facility Information

Cumberland: Our facility houses cats that are available for adoption. We always accept donations at our facility of litter, canned cat food, towels, cleaning supplies, and of course time spent volunteering!

Baltimore: All of our adoptable animals are being cared for and socialized by our wonderful foster families. For this reason if you wish to adopt a pet from us you must send in an application first so that we can arrange a meeting for you and your potential kitty. If you wish to adopt, but are not sure of which animal is right for you, check out our calendar of events for adoption events where you can meet some of our adoptable animals.

How we operate:
Donations are a big part of rescue. Adoption fees rarely cover the expenses involved in saving and caring for that animal. All money received by our organization is always applied directly towards the care and well-being of rescued animals. The money allows us to spay/neuter, vaccinate, and feed animals who have had a very difficult life before we rescued them, and we use our own funds up front for their care. Donations help ease that burden, and make it possible to save more lives. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization, which makes all donations tax deductible.
