Charm City Animal Rescue is a 501c3 organization headquartered in Cumberland, MD. We have an ever-growing network of foster homes based in and around Baltimore, MD that enable us to save and adopt out almost 300 cats per year! We do not get government funding, but rely solely on donations, fundraisers, and grants to support our efforts.

CCAR rescues animals from shelters and the streets, and we focus on cats in crisis, especially those cats with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (wobbly cats.) We also provide help with trap, neuter, release (TNR) projects, and assisting owners with getting low cost spay and neuter appointments. To learn more read these animals ethics essays

CCAR always has many cats and kittens available for adoption. If you’re interested in adopting, please take a moment to read about our process and submit an application. We begin processing all applications within one day. We also have a very large, active Facebook community, where you can find our latest events, newest rescues, or ask questions!
